leads, leads, leads

It's funny...it's been three weeks since I've written a contract and a small part of me is started to sweat. :) 60% of the agents on MRIS last year did 4 transactions or less and I'm sweating about not writing a contract in 3 weeks, despite having written 12 ratified contracts in the past 6 months. Silly. Although, the beginning of fall lag will take some time getting used to...

Meanwhile, I have found myself inundated with more leads than ever. I'd say I am actively engaged with 12 potential buyers, although I'm too lazy to actually count at this precise moment (it's 10-15)...and these are just the clients that are looking to buy in the next month or two. I have another dozen or so that will be buying throughout next year, so I've managed to set myself up pretty well (thank Jesus). Of course, not every lead works out, but I have a high percentage of turn over relative to the industry, so I have a reason to be hopeful. Seriously, just be genuine about showing people that you are capable and that you care (probably not in that order even), and things work themselves out.

Anyway, poker game tonight and a few e-mails to write before I leave the office. It's been too long since I've posted, I know, but I find myself more dealing the minutia of transactions now with less time to wax philosophical about the industry in which I am in. Still, I'll try to pick up the frequency again. :)

Peace!
Greg
